The two previous parts in the Master Plan series covered the more pragmatic aspects i.e. the residential options and the commercial facets. This particular one aims towards shedding some light on the amenities and facilities offered by the Gwadar City as proposed within the master plan*.
In the relatively remote province of Pakistan, Baluchistan, lies Gwadar City. Through the Chinese and Pakistani administration’s acute preparation and placing of special emphasis on the minutiae, under the umbrella of the China-Pakistan-Economic-Corridor, it is likely to be Pakistan’s most thoroughly planned city.
In light of prior planning, Gwadar will possibly be the most domestically, industrially, and economically sound city which will simultaneously bear low-hanging fruits for the entire province.
Upon a close look at the Gwadar City’s Master Plan, a multitude of housing schemes can be seen, however, the most pre-dominant one of them all, is the Gwadar Central. It has been classed as a Category-A Housing society in Gwadar and that too for all the right reasons.
Gwadar City ensures an ideal living situation, brimming with all the necessary facilities as well as added luxuries to enhance the quality of life. Amongst the proposed projects are golf clubs and sports complexes as well as a community centre located merely 3.5km away from Gwadar Central. Similarly, weekend markets (at a distance of 3.2 km from Gwadar Central) offering low priced goods will also be set up for the convenience of the inhabitants while also providing a stepping board for the local vendors and farmers. The 300 m. wide Jinnah Avenue, Gwadar’s most popular industrial and commercial hub is also conveniently accessible, particularly for the residents of Gwadar Central, as it is only a humble 1 km away.
Apart from the niceties, Gwadar will also be home to a number of schools, universities, hospitals and healthcare facilities. A commuting system comprising of an airport, railway links and bus terminals will also be constructed, laid down and made effective for the use of the people. To keep the developmental process environment friendly, a 1000 m wide green belt has also been proposed on the Master Plan* map.
In summation, Gwadar City’s Master Plan, encompasses every aspect of the city in order to facilitate the investors and provide an effective guideline regarding the most fruitful, beneficial investments.
