Gwadar Free Zone’s first-ever import consignment has been passed by the Customs. With this step, the Gwadar Free Zone has become operational. This will lead to further development of the other economic zones of Gwadar under CPEC.
The free zones of Gwadar hold immense importance in the overall developmental progress of the region as well as CPEC. In simple words, the free zones are the economic development engines for Gwadar. From creating employment opportunities to attracting international attention towards Pakistan, these economic zones play a significant role in Pakistan’s economic structure.
Right now, The Federal Board of Revenue is working hard to perform swift clearance of all upcoming cargo of the Free Zone so that any loss in the exports can be prevented.
