Timelines of Gwadar CPEC projects be adhered, says PM
nnnnnnnnPrime Minister Imran Khan emphasized the significance of adhering to the timelines set for the completion of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, adding that the government is completely committed to the stipulations of the Gwadar CPEC project agreements.
nnnnThe premier made the remarks while chairing a high-level meeting on CPEC project development on Wednesday. He stated that China is a time tested ally of Pakistan and that the government places a significant importance on the implementation and operationalization of CPEC projects. He emphasized the need of policy continuity in long-term initiatives in order to maximize advantages to the country.
nnnnEarlier, SAPM on CPEC Affairs Khalid Mansoor updated the meeting on the current status of Gwadar CPEC projects. Federal ministers Hammad Azhar, Ali Haider Zaidi, and Asad Umar, as well as finance adviser Shaukat Tarin and commerce adviser Abdul Razak Dawood, were present at the meeting.

nnnnnnnnWhile addressing an event related to the 50th National Day of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan is ready to connect the Middle East with Afghanistan and onwards with Central Asia through Gwadar port, one of the major parts of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
nnnn“With bilateral commerce of more than $8 billion, the UAE is Pakistan’s largest economic partner in the Middle East and North Africa region.” It is also one of Pakistan’s major foreign investors, according to Qureshi. He further emphasized that enhanced connectivity between regions will yield rich dividends for people.
nnnnEconomic and trade ties between Pakistan and the UAE are an important part of the bilateral relationship, he said, and have been steadily growing.
nnnnHe stated while talking about the Gulf state’s national day, “We are not only honoring the Golden Jubilee of the unity of the United Arab Emirates, but also 50 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and the UAE.”
nnnnPakistan and the United Arab Emirates enjoy great brotherly ties based on a shared heritage and diversified collaboration. The UAE’s great achievement would not have been possible without the visionary leadership of the UAE’s Founding Father, Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The Late leader had a lot of affection for Pakistan.

nnnnnnnnKyrgyzstan is keen to join CPEC and benefit from the enormous commercial potential provided by Gwadar Port. These were the remarks made by Ulanbek Totuiaev, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan, at a seminar on “Business, Education, and Tourism Opportunities in Kyrgyzstan,” which was organized by The Diplomatic Insight, Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies, Riphah Institute of Public Policy, Riphah International University, Islamabad.
nnnnThe envoy emphasized the strong connections that have always been described as fraternal and cordial between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Furthermore, the two nations’ ties have been defined by active mutual meetings and bilateral events. He went on to say that Pakistan was one of the first countries to recognize Kyrgyzstan’s independence. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties, our nations have enjoyed outstanding political relations and have exchanged high-level visits on a regular basis.
