nThe meeting mainly covered the Thar Coal Power Plant Project, Special Economic Zones of Gwadar, and KT Bandar Project. Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah provided details about the milestones being covered on the said projects. He said that the Thar Coal Power Plant has the capacity to overcome the country’s power deficiency. This power plant, once completed, will be able to add 660 MW electricity to the grid. Moreover, this addition is expected to come by the end of this year.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]The meeting also shed light on projects like Karachi Circular Railways. Mr. Shah expects this Malir expressway mass transit project to resolve the city’s worsening transportation conditions and help commuters in their day-to-day hustle. Additionally, the Chief Secretary Sindh discussed the Islamkot airport build solely to facilitate the investors. The Dhabeji special economic zone was also discussed in meeting. It is an economic zone planned to cover 1500 acres of land, which will boost the economic activities in the region greatly.nnIn the end, the Chief Secretary Sindh encouraged all the member to visit Thar Power Plant and witness the progress of the project.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
