These aim towards creating a more integrated country while the smooth inter connectivity between provinces may also reduce import rate.nnThe N-50 (National Highway 50) runs from the city of Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to the town of Kuchlak in Quetta, Baluchistan, and thereby passing through the valley of Zhob.nnnnThe China-Pakistan-Economic-Corridor will serve to restore and upgrade the N-50 passage beginning from the town of Yarik in D.I Khan, KPK, till the city of Zhob in Baluchistan.nnThe 4 lane Yarik-Sagu (N-55) motorway will be upgraded while the path stretching from Sagu to Zhob (N-50) will be reconstructed in to a dual lane highway.nnThe Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has approved the PC-I (Project Cycle I) whereas the land acquisition is still in process. The Framework Agreement has also been forwarded for scrutiny and approval. With a budget of 195 million US $, the process is speculated to be completed and the highways made functional by 2020.nnThe Ministry of Planning and Development, as reported in Dawn on 09-Dec-2018 reiterated, “Upgradation of Dera Ismail Khan, Yarik-Zhob, Phase-I (210 km) is one of the important deliverable for the next Joint Cooperation Committee of CPEC, scheduled to be held in the 3rd week of this month.”nnFederal Minister for Planning and Development, Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiyar also reaffirmed that the Hakla-D.I Khan section is under construction and is planned for completion by 2019.
